We are a multi-sectoral coalition in the ASEAN region calling on our governmental bodies and those in authority to sign on to the High Ambition Coalition (HAC) for Nature and People in order to protect 30% of our natural land and water forms by 2030.

Vision

A unified ASEAN region working towards the shared goal of protecting at least 30% of the earth’s land and water forms while ensuring participation, leadership of and partnership with Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs), youth and women.

Goals

1. Get the ASEAN, especially the 3 megadiverse countries of Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia to adopt 30x30 and sign on to the High Ambition Coalition

2. Recognise and defend indigenous tenurial rights through free, prior informed consent (FPIC)

3. Inclusion, participation and leadership of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs)

4. Provision of easily accessible, equitable funding opportunities

5. Ensure the successful protection of 30% of the earth’s natural environments

6. Amplify the need to respect and invest in our IPLCs for the protection of nature

7. Ensure intergenerational equity

8. Safeguard every person’s right to a safe environment
